Seventeen The Stylist Mascara Review.

Hello my lovelies! I'm back with the mascara reviews, and this time is about one that I purchased in July but I never showed it in a haul post, it's from a greek "drugstore" type of brand, called Seventeen. I don't have much experience with their mascaras I've only tried one in the past, the X-Traordinaire but I didn't like it at all. Let's see what are my thoughts about this one, "The Stylist".
Brush/Formula
This mascara has the standard/old school brush, with a full set of bristles really packed together. The size of the brush is more of  a small to medium size which I find really good if you have small eyes or short lashes. I have noticed that a lot of mascara comes out with every dip, so I have to be careful and wipe some product onto a tissue before using it. This brush is not the best for defining lashes, it gives volume and length but it also clumps. It has a very waxy, and almost "mousse" type of texture, and that's also a reason why it clumps.
Application
It's not a very wet mascara, so it doesn't weigh down my lashes, but it doesn't really hold a curl for hours. I really love that feather-look it gives to the outer corner of my lashes, it makes my eyes look like they have more of an "almond" shape. As you can see it gives a bit of volume and length, but I'd say it's more of a volumizing mascara, I can see that my lashes look more full, especially on the roots. And I also have to mention that it's super black!

Price
It costs 12 euros, I'd say that it's not super cheap neither too expensive for a "drugstore" type of mascara. In Greece you can find it at any Hondos Center or Gallerie De Beaute store.

Pros
-It adds volume and length to the lashes.

-It's winging out the outer corners of the lashes creating a feathered look.

-It's super black.

Cons
It clumps, even with only one coat.

Rating: 9/10
Overall I really like this mascara, I really love the soft voluminous look it gives to my lashes and to be quite honest I don't mind the clumping. For me it's a great everyday mascara, of course you can built it up to a more dramatic look but it will clump like crazy. I may repurchase it in the future and I really wanna try more mascaras from Seventeen.

Have you tried the Seventeen The Stylist mascaras?  Did you like it?
Let me know!

Drugstore Make Up Haul - Catrice, Essence, Bourjois and L'oreal.

Fall season is here and I'm back doing haul posts again, actually I haven't done a haul post in a while, I think my last one was in July. I've bought a few drugstore goodies last week, some of them are from Catrice and it's the first time I'm trying anything from this brand, so I wanted to share them with you. I always love a good drugstore haul post, don't you? Let's see what I got!
Catrice Prime and Fine Pore Refining Anti-Shine Base
If you're reading my blog for a long time you'd propably already know that I rarely use face primers, and that's because they never do anything for the longevity of my face makeup neither they do anything for my oily areas, but this one was  really cheap and it's a Catrice best seller so I said why not? So far I've only used it once so I don't have a full opinion on it yet, but there's one thing that I'm sure of, this one isn't a pore filling primer, it doesn't have that silicone feeling, which to be honest I prefer! I'll have to put it to the test a few more times to see if it helps at all with my oiliness.

Catice Multi Colour Blush in080 Peach Frappucino
I never buy multi colored blushes, but I was really curious to see how all these colors would combine into one blush shade, peach and muted pinks-such an intresting combination. When I swatched it on my hand it looked like a warm pink, but on my face it transforms into a warm peach shade with just a hint of pink, for me this is the perfect fall peach shade.

Catrice Absolut Eye Colour in 630 Fancy A Coppa Tea?
From all the eyeshadows they had in the Catrice display this was the only color that caught my eye, and it has such a catchy name, don't you think? It's a shimmery gold-champagne shade, on my hand it looks more gold than it looks on my lids and that's because my lids have a natural brown tint so it transforms to a beautiful -all over the lids- champagne shade.

Here are swatches of both, blush and eyeshadow:
Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Waterproof Mascara
I've been looking for this mascara for over a month now but the waterproof version was always sold out, I finally found one and I grabbed it right away! I haven't tried it yet, but I've read amazing reviews for both the waterproof and the non-waterproof version. I got the waterproof one because I'm sure it will hold a curl for hours, I only hope it won't be a completely nightmare to remove it.

Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara
After trying the Essence Get Big Lashes Waterproof Mascara which I completely love, I was curious on trying more mascaras from Essence, and this one is one of their best selling mascaras. I've tried it a couple of times, I'm not a huge fan of the really huge plastic brush it has, because the first time I used it I poked my eye with it and it really hurt for a whole day. But I really like the results it gives to my lashes, it doesn't give much of a volume but it makes them super long and curled.

Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base
I've been using the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer for years and years and before that the Urban Decay Primer Potion, so I don't have much of experience with drugstore eyeshadow primers but this one is very popular and I really liked the fact that is tinted that's why I bought it. I've been using it for quite a while now and it's not comparable to the high end eyeshadow primers, it doesn't hold my eyeshadows for more than 3 hours, but I do like the fact that it's tinted because it neutralizes the brown tint on my lids, I may try and use it on top of my Too Faced one just for the tint!
L'oreal Collection Exclusive By Leticia Color Riche Nail Polish
L'oreal released an exclusive collection with lipsticks and nail polishes in various shades of red, I'm a huge "red nail polish" lover especially when it's a fall season, and this one is the perfect dark "vampy" red shade! It's a combination between dark red and plum, isn't this just perfect?
I really wanna buy more shades from this collection!

Essence Studio Nails XXL Nail Thickener
I was looking for a ridge filler for my nails, and  when I saw the name "XXL nail thickener" I thought that this base might do the same job, and in a way it does but the consistency of the product is different. It has a sheer off-white shade but it's very glossy and thick, like a gel nail polish. I really like this gel consistency for my toes, it creates a really good and thick base.

Essence Studio Nails pro White Rose
I'm still not sure if this is a base coat or an actual sheer nail polish, nevertheless it's amazing on its own and on top of the XXL Nail Thickener, it has a a very sheer pink tint that makes my nails look more fresh and polished. It's the best solution when I'm super lazy to do a full manicure, I just use this and I'm done!

So that's all the drugstore goodies I bought last week, I know they're not all new or seasonal products but they're new to me and I would love to know if you've tried any of these, and if you like them or not.

Summer 2014 Favorites.

Long time no see my lovelies, I hope you all had an amazing summer! In August I took a long break from blogging mostly because half of the month I was away on vacation, at the beautiful Naxos island, which is amazingly beautiful and dreamy. But it was time to get back into blogging again, and since summer is not completely over yet in Greece, I thought it was a great opportunity to show you all the beauty products I used the most in the summertime.
 Sunsilk Sensational Curls Leave-In Cream
In my opinion this is the best curl cream out there, hands down! I have naturally wavy/curly thin hair, I've tried many curling creams in my life, from salon and drugstore brands but this one is the best I've found for my hairtype. It defines them so well without feeling sticky or weight down my hair, and you cannot beat the price, it costs only 2.5 euros.

Garnier Fructis Surf Hair Paste
I've always had a love-hate relantionship with styling products, I've tried so many, from mousses to hair gels and sea salt sprays to try and make my curls look more defined and last for more than a few hours, and none of them could do what this God sent product can do! It creates the most beautiful and texturized curls I've ever seen, especially if I use it with the Sunsilk leave-in cream! I only use a small amount of this paste on really wet hair, if I use a lot my hair's sticky as hell. If you have thin/frizzy curly hair and sea salt sprays do not work on your hair you should definitely try this one, trust me.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
OK I should be honest with you, but when I first bought this cleansing balm I hated it, I was trying to use it as a one step cleanser whenever my skin was feeling more dry but that didn't work. I decided to give it a second chance now that my skin is oily again and I completely love it, but I always use a seperate cleansing gel afterwards. It saved my skin from all the sunscreen that I was using this summer, I've never felt my skin more clean than when I started using this balm, it does an amazing job at removing heavy make up and waterproof sunscreens.
Sephora "Sol De Rio" Bronzing Powder
Bronzer of my choice for this summer was this amazing limited edition one from Sephora, it's very subtle nothing too much, completely matte and perfect for everyday use. You can see a swatch here.

Revlon Nearly Naked Powder
I was very much into powders this summer, sometimes I was just using some concealer and a powder on my face. In my stash I found this one from Revlon which I purchased last year when I visited London, it's a tone darken than my skintone but now that I'm a bit tanned it matches me perfectly. And as you can see I've used a lot of it because I hit pan only after two months of using it.

Mac Peaches Blush
This is the only blush that I've seen using for two months now, it's the perfect true matte peach blush for the summer. If you have warm skintone you have to try it!
Mac Prep and Prime Highlighter in Bright Forecast
I love use highlighting pens as undereye concealer when the weather is hot, even though they doesn't cover as well as a regular concealer. This one has a peach shade that neutralizes my dark brown undereye circles, it makes me look more awake and fresh, and that's more than enought for me.

Essence Get Big Lashes Waterproof Mascara
I was blown away by this mascara, I never thought that such a cheap mascara would give to my lashes so much curl and length. You can see my full review on it here.
NYX Butter Gloss in Apple Strudel
I love using peachy glosses at summer, and this one was just perfect because it's super glossy and doesn't have any shimmers in it. It looks amazing over any peachy and coral lipstick but I loved using it on it's own for a fresh everyday look.

Mac Flamingo Lipstick
I have so many peachy lipsticks, but this summer Flamingo was my number one choice. It's more of a neon coral pink, and it looked amazing even when I wasn't wearing anything else on my face. You can see a swatch here.

L'oreal Color Riche "Lemon Meringue" Nail Polish
I never thought I'd say that a pastel nail polish was my top shade for the summer but it's true! I always go for reds and corals but this one changed my mind! It's not the traditional opaque white nail polish, it has a light yellow-lemonish tint into it that makes it special. Also it looks amazing on toes when you're tanned.

So these were all the beauty products that I loved the most this summer. Have you tried any of those?
What were your favourite products for the summer? Let me know!
